Ancient Blue & Green Glass Beads, Afghanistan
23" strand of ancient blue and green glass beads from Afghanistan. Created over 2,000 years ago during the Roman Period, these Afghan beads are a mixture of dark blues and various greens, a mix of shapes and textures, beautifully graduated. Size ranges from 2.5mm diameter- 14mm diameter largest bead at center. Fairly fragile beads, and so so rare, especially the wound green bugle beads at the top! These were traded along the Silk Road in ancient times, a treasure!
