Ancient Multi-Color Glass Beads, Afghanistan
23" strand of ancient multi-color glass beads from Afghanistan, larger sizes. Created over 2,000 years ago during the Roman Period, these Afghan beads are a mixture of blues, greens, yellows and clear glass. A few stones mixed in! Mix of awesome shapes including some teardrop briolettes, some textured and fluted beads, beautifully graduated. Size ranges from 7mm diameter- 14mm diameter largest beads at center. The largest yellow bead is 17mm diameter x 22mm long with an 8mm hole size! Fairly fragile beads, and so so rare, many collectible! These were traded along the Silk Road in ancient times, a treasure!
