Ancient Lapis & Cobalt Glass Beads, Afghanistan
16" strand of ancient lapis lazuli and cobalt ancient glass beads from Afghanistan. Created over 2,000 years ago during the Roman Period, these Afghan beads are a mixture of dark blues, stone and glass, a mix of shapes, beautifully graduated. Size ranges from 4mm diameter- 5mm diameter. Fairly fragile beads, and so so rare!! These were traded along the Silk Road in ancient times, a treasure!
