Ancient Roman Glass Rectangular Links, Afghanistan
17" strand of ancient Roman period glass pieces cut and drilled into beads recently. Over 2000 year old glass from various excavations along the Silk Road in Afghanistan. Thin glass rectangular 2-hole links, slightly graduated sizes averaging 11-22mm long x 8-10mm wide with saucer spacers in-between. Holes are about .8mm. Each strand has a nice larger centerpiece. Wonderful as it is, or use in your own jewelry projects. Nice range of colors, coke-bottle greens, jonquil, and teals. This ancient glass has calcification on it, and so much character!
