Ancient Roman Glass Rectangular Beads, Afghanistan
16" strand of ancient Roman period glass pieces cut and drilled into beads recently. Over 2000 year old glass from various excavations along the Silk Road in Afghanistan. Chunky rectangular shapes, slightly graduated sizes averaging 10-12mm long x 9-10mm diameter with saucer spacers in-between. Each strand has a nice larger centerpiece. Wonderful as it is, or use in your own jewelry projects. Nice range of colors, coke-bottle greens, jonquil, and teals. This ancient glass has calcification on it, and so much character!
