Antique Double Strand Necklace by Ruth
This is a 17 inch long double stranded necklace with tiny Venetian 16º seed beads from the early 1800's, a blend of purples, clear, milk glass and a touch of green, with a few antique silver beads from Sri Lanka and Ethiopia sprinkled in. The center bead is an ancient Roman purple glass bead excavated in Djenne, Mali, very rare, measuring 20mm long x 11mm wide. A small sterling silver S-clasp closure. Designed and strung by Ruth. These seed beads were purchased in The Gambia in 1995 and are very unique!
