Yellow Bow-Tie Beads
This bead was produced in Venice in the late 1800's and traded in West Africa. It is rare in this color way; usually this bead was made in white glass with blue "bows". It is a feathering technique, a blue with white ribbon of glass squiggles applied to the yellow base. These beads are in pristine condition, and still have a glossy surface. 15mm diameter x 9mm with a 2mm hole.
