Strand of Classic Eja Beads, Anwally
Beautiful 22" stand of an assortment of colorful blue, white and red Eja (sometimes called Aja) beads, (disc-shape) 8mm diameter x 4mm thick to 10mm diameter. These are antique Venetian beads, traded in West Africa where they were heated and squashed flat to make a disk shape. African traders call the powder-blue chevron style in the center "Anwally Beads".
