Pair of Chunky Idar-Oberstein Square beads
Pair of chunky carnelian agate beads from Mali, made in Idar-Oberstein, Germany in the mid – late 1800s. Material (agate) from Brazil, cut in Germany, then traded in Mali. These boxy/square shape beads are precisely cut, faceted, and have a 1mm hole. Both beads are 17mm long x 14mm diameter. Priced as a pair.
