Venetian "Tic-Tac-Toe" Glass Trade Beads, Strand
Highly prized among collectors for its unique and fun design, this Venetian-made glass bead was traded in Ghana in the mid-late 1800’s. Brick red with black eyes and red/white candy cane effect creating what re-enactment folks call "tic-tac-toe" beads! Average size is 18mm long x 12mm diameter with a 2.5mm hole for stringing. Also available as a single bead. 47 beads on this strand, not including one broken bead. There are 8 beads, smaller and similar but not tic tac toe, as well as 2 yellow beads.In excellent condition!
