Domed Shell Buttons, Mali
These lovely clamshell beads are traditionally worn by Malian women interwoven with fancy braiding and are shaped like flat domed button. Resembling netsuke, these have two underneath holes (like a button). Great for setting into silver bezels, embellishing fabric, jewelry design, or simply a fantastic object. Size ranges from 16 - 29mm diameter. Sold individually, please note if you prefer larger or smaller, or a mix! Will brighten with washing, gentle non-abrasive soap.
