Strand of 300 Year Old Dogon Pink-Purple Glass Beads
28" strand of rare glass beads from Mali. Dutch made and traded to the Dogon tribe and other West African people in the 1700s. Assorted sizes and colour, but these are primarily purple-pink glass beads that are faceted but have worn smooth over the centuries. Very pretty; some of the beads have heavy calcification. Graduated strand 7mm x 9mm to 20mm x 21mm. African bead traders call these "Television" beads.
