Antique Black Bonda Beads from India
30" strand of irregular black glass beads from the Bonda (or Bondo) tribe of the state of Odisha (formerly Orissa), an eastern Indian state on the Bay of Bengal. These beads are over 100 years old. Average bead size is approximately 4mm long x 6mm in diameter. The Bonda tribe is one of the oldest and most primitive in mainland India; their culture has changed little for more than a thousand years.
