Ancient Roman Glass Beads, 7 Beads
Group of 7 rare ancient Roman glass beads traded in Mali, West Africa. These are about 2,000 years old, made in Italy, excavated in Djenne, Mali. Center bead is a rare blue glass with center stripe and 6 "eyes", 13mm diameter x 12mm tall with 3mm hole. Small blue Roman glass disc beads frame the center bead, 3-5mm with .3mm holes. A bit of calcification on the small beads, and a few eyes are missing the white circle of glass, common in these ancient beads. One of a kind mini-strand!
