Large, very old, and rare ceramic "spindle whorl" bead from the Dogon tribe. This bead measures 28mm long x 35mm wide with 5mm hole for stringing. About 200 years old from the heart of Mali, West Africa. A tool for drop-spindle spinning of cotton. One-of-a-kind.
