Egyptian Terra-Cotta "Mummy" Beads
33" strand of small beads made of terra-cotta, a fired clay substance used in many statues and building materials (roof tiles, etc.)…. as well as these cute beads. Bead size averages 3mm x 3mm to 4mm x 9mm. Photo shows two strands; note the variation between the two — each strand is unique in the manner of bead shapes and arrangement. These are newly made in the ancient tradition.
