Carved Fossilized Mastodon Ivory, Woman
Carved in Indonesia in the 1990's, this dancing mermaid-like woman is a sweet pendant. The material is found in the Aleutian Islands, and is fossilized Mastodon ivory. She is 1 3/4 inches from top to bottom, 5/8 inch wide. Hole between hands is 1.5mm. Hand carved, one-of-a-kind.
