Set of 4 Antique Dogon Spindle Whorl Beads
4 Large-size, very old, and rare ceramic "spindle whorl" beads from the Dogon tribe of Mali, West Africa. Although there is minor wear to these beads, they are in very good condition for their age and feature some of the coolest design elements seen on these kinds of clay beads. Each one was handmade and is one-of-a-kind. Over 100 years old, these were originally used for spinning cotton and are the weight and base of a drop-spindle. 30mm long x 47mm diameter with 4mm hole for stringing. Sold as a set of 4 beads.
