Ancient Ecuadorian Whorl, Pelican
A unique ancient "Spindle Whorl", made of clay from the Manteno Culture, dated from 800-1500 AD depicts a pelican which apparently had religious significance, representing transcendence to the "Otherworld". 14mm diameter x 13mm tall, hole is 2 1/2mm. Highly collectible and in very good condition!
