Antique Copper Hotei "Buddha" Ojime, Japan
Antique copper Ojime bead from Japan from the 1800s. This lovely bead features HOTEI 布袋 the Japanese god of contentment & happiness (Hotei is often called the Laughing Buddha, although he is not one, but rather he's one of the Chinese "Lucky Seven Gods"). 18mm diameter; silver core for the hole, and unknown signature.
