Strand of Chartreuse Majapahit beads
20" strand of small, medium, and large size (11-21mm diameter) Chartreuse Majapahit beads These glass beads are somewhere between 500-700 years old. They are lovely things made in and around Java/Indonesia and traded by the Chinese all over South Asia. Nowadays they are often lumped in with other Tradewind beads. Some still have their smooth finish, while others have been damaged by time and are pitted and cracked and full of character! 38 beads total.
