Large Strand of Rare Oparté Beads, Dutch 1700's
29" strand of oparté beads, milky-opal glass beads, Dutch-made and traded in West Africa in the 1700's. Beads vary slightly in size, but are approximately 9-12mm thick x 11-14mm diameter with 2-4mm holes. Some chips and cracks on these very old beads.
