Ancient Roman Glass, Afghanistan
16" strand of ancient Roman period glass pieces cut and drilled as beads. Over 2000 years old from various excavations in Afghanistan. A variety of colors, these large round flat disc-shaped pendants range from 14mm diameter to 40mm for the center bead, with small saucers in-between. Hole is quite small, about .8mm. Glass is thin and transparent. This ancient glass has calcification and patina.
