Ancient Roman Glass Beads, Mali
18" strand of 2000 year old Roman Era glass beads, traded in Mali. Awesome collection of mixed beads: wide range of shapes and mixed colors with calcification (see photos for examples). They were excavated around the ancient trading city of Djenné (which is near Timbuktu) in Mali, West Africa. This graduated strand ranges from 3mm to 7mm in diameter with very small holes.
