Ancient Bactrian Agate Strand, C
Beautiful and rare very old agate beads from the ancient central Asian country of Bactria. (Now Northern Afghanistan) Strung and traded in Afghanistan. These are quite old, best guess 1000-1200 years old, highly collectible with striation and subtle colors. 1 Mother of Pearl bead. All the rest are ancient stone. Some are damaged, and appear to have been carved, like a seal, but indecipherable. Overall a glorious strand! 12mm-17mm diameter graduated sizes, center bead (which is broken) measures 22mm tall x 14mm diameter. 38 beads on the strand. Truly one of a kind!
