Large German Resin Amber Mixed Strand
Large German resin amber beads, lovely variety! 20-35mm diameter x 22mm thick, with 2-3mm holes. Approximately 100 years old, found in Mauritania and Niger. This is an imitation amber, (like Bakelite, referred to as Phenolic Amber) made from plant resin in Germany in the early 1900's and traded in West Africa. These have become quite rare. A wonderful focal bead element, or restring as is! Strand is 15 inches long with 23 beads. Color and shape variety!
