Strand of Roman Glass Beads, Coins
19" strand of ancient Roman period thick glass pieces cut and drilled as beads recently. Over 2000 years old from various excavations in and around Afghanistan. A variety of mostly round lentil-shape or coin-shape beads, graduated sizes and mostly sea-green. Wonderful as it is, but needs restringing. Sizes range from 10mm diameter to the large centerpiece 22mm and are mostly 3-4mm thick with small .5mm holes. This ancient glass has calcification and patina, and some small serpentine jade bicone spacer beads inbetween.
