Ancient Afghan Seal, Etched Agate Pendant
This is an ancient Scythian Seal depicting a Man/Bust. From the Sassanian Empire, 3rd Century AD, this seal is from the Indus Valley, Pakistan. Worn as a pendant, this ancient etched agate seal has a 4mm hole, and a lovely portrait of a man. 15mm diameter x 13mm tall x 9mm thick. There are some cracks in the stone, but it is stable. One in my collection of 30 seals, many stones, including carnelian, agate, iron ore, and jasper. All unique and highly collectible! The red wax relief shows as clearly as possible the impression. So unique!
