Ancient Afghan Seal, Etched Carnelian Pendant
This is an ancient Scythian Seal depicting a lioness. From the Sassanian Empire, 3rd Century AD, this seal is from the Indus Valley, Pakistan. Worn as a pendant, this ancient etched carnelian seal has a 2mm hole, and a lovely standing lioness. 12mm diameter x 9mm tall. One in my collection of 30 seals, many stones, including carnelian, agate, iron ore, and jasper. All unique and highly collectible! The gold imprinted relief is silly putty, to show as clearly as possible the impression. So unique!
