Vaseline Bicone Beads, Amber & Jonquil Glass
30" strand of antique amber and jonquil vaseline beads. Fairly uniform size with a few larger beads at the bottom. 14mm diameter x 9mm tall with conical 1.5-2mm holes. The jonquil beads are uranium glass and fluoresce in blacklight. These beads were handmade in the mid-late 1800's and are in good condition, hand-faceted, 84 beads on the strand. These were traded in West Africa mostly in Mali. A wonderful find!
