Antique Mongolian Headdress Piece
This is one of the most exciting pieces I've ever had to offer! Simply exquisite 9 strands of various shaped coral beads, all more than 100 years old, and possibly older than 300 years. The fringe has genuine 5mm amber beads above Tibetan turquoise and silver charms at the bottom. This piece would have been worn as a side-piece of a complete headdress. In tact in it's original design, this was from the collection of a man who lived in China in the late 1800's and early 1900's, and taught English there, and Chinese here. Silver links are sewn in-between the structured lattice pattern at the top, with one ancient lapis bead in the center (9mm diameter x 17mm tall). 19 inches long x 2 1/2 inches wide. 9 strands of coral hanging with various turquoise fringe and one carnelian fringe piece.
