Antique Ochre Yellow Bonda Beads, India
Extra-long 42-46 inch strand of irregular ochre yellow glass beads from the Bondo Tribe of the state of Odisha (formerly Orissa), an eastern Indian state on the Bay of Bengal. These beads are about 200 years old! Average bead size is 1-1.5mm, about a size 11º seed bead with a .5mm hole. The Bonda tribe is one of the oldest and most primitive in mainland India, their culture has changed little for more than a thousand years. A wonderful unique color!
