Ancient Roman Glass Beads, 11 Beads
Group of 11 rare ancient Roman glass beads traded in Mali, West Africa. These are about 2,000 years old, made in Italy, excavated in Djenne, Mali. Center bead is a rare blue glass with center stripe and 6 "eyes", 14mm diameter with 3mm hole. Small blue and white Roman glass disc beads frame the center bead along with 2 14mm plain blue glass spaced with small beads, 3-5mm. Calcification on the small beads. One of a kind!
