Antique Glass & Ancient Quartz Strand, 4 Beads
Beautiful and rare old glass beads from Holland, traded in Mali, West Africa. These are quite old, best guess 1700's, Dogon beads, plus one ancient quartz oval bead, excavated in Djenne, Mali. The glass beads were altered in African creating facets on what were smooth round glass beads. Largest clear glass bead is 17mm diameter x 15mm long with 4mm hole, quartz bead (second smallest) is 12mm diameter x 13mm long. 4 beads on this short strand. Truly one of a kind!
