Set of Five Ancient Quartz Beads from Mali; Lou Zeldis Collection
Set of five ancient "bow drilled" opaque quartz bead from Djenne, Mali. Around 2,000 years old. Lou used beads of this type in many of his pieces of jewelry. Each bead is unique (see photos). This set includes a yellowish large bead (38mm diameter), another large one (also 38mm), one medium (28mm in diameter), and two smaller ones (24mm diameter); all with small 1.5-2mm "bow drilled" holes. These beads are sold as a set.
