Greasy Yellowish-Opal Seed Beads, 12º
Sorry, this item is out of stock
Rare, irregular (approx. 12º) yellowish-opal greasy seed beads ; pre-1900s; 22" strand. The term "greasy" is in reference to the look of the beads which are reminiscent of the way brown paper looks after oil has soaked through it. The fats in the oil give the paper a translucent yet oily appearance. In this case, these beads are translucent with a very "greasy" looking finish. The bead themselves do not have a greasy feel to them.
