Strand of Small Ancient Roman Dig Beads
Sorry, this item is out of stock
Charming 24" strand of 2000+ year old Roman Era glass beads. Awesome collection of mixed beads: wide rage of shapes in a lovely blue, grey with calcification (see photos for examples). They were excavated around the ancient trading city of Djenné (which is near Timbuktu) in the country of Mali. This strand has slightly larger beads than our standard blue Roman era beads. These are are, for the most part, tube or squared-off barrel shapes, and the many of the blue beads are light in color with much calcification. Beads measure from tiny (1mm x 2mm) to small (5mm x 5mm). See Photo.
