What types of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. You can also check out through PayPal on our site.

Will I be charged sales tax?

Sales tax will be applied to merchandise shipped within Ohio. All orders shipped outside of Ohio will not be charged sales tax. International orders will not be charged sales tax.

When will my order ship?

We will process and ship your order within 2-5 business days after your payment has cleared. We make every effort to ship your order out as quickly as possible. Orders are shipped Monday through Friday.

How much is shipping & handling?

We ship orders through the United States Post Office. You have the option of Priority Mail or Express Mail at checkout. We recommend using Priority Mail as the least expensive shipping option. 

Shipping and handling rates are based on the size of the package. We make every effort to ship in the smallest box possible. Shipping and handling rates begin at $7.00 – $12.00 for shipments sent via USPS Priority Mail, and $20.00 – $40.00 for shipments sent via USPS Express Mail. Both Priority and Express Mail shipments come with free Delivery Confirmation and a tracking number. Please note that all domestic orders over $300 will be shipped insured with signature delivery (at no extra cost).

International shipments also have the option between USPS Priority Mail International and USPS Express Mail International. Orders shipped with USPS Priority Mail International have a shipping and handling charge beginning at $32.00 – $60.00 depending on the size of the package. Orders shipped USPS Express Mail International will have a shipping and handling charge of $80.00. We fill out all customs forms for International orders. Please note that all international orders will be shipped with actual cost of items listed on the customs form; the buyer will be responsible for all duties and/or import fees within their country.  Please note that all International orders over $300 will be shipped insured with signature delivery (at no extra cost). 

What are my shipping options?

We ship orders via the Untied States Post Office, that is for Domestic or International customers.  International customers can choose between Standard Internal First-Class Air Mail Package Rate ($18), Priority ($32) or Express Mail ($80) at checkout. We can ship orders via FedEx upon request. Please inquire about shipping charges for FedEx shipments.  Please note that International First-Class Air Mail can take up to 14 days to get to its destination; Priority can take up to seven days, and Express can take up to three depending on the final destination.  Tracking is included with all three rates up until it leaves the USA, and tracking in the counrty of destination is dependant on that country's postal carrriers. 

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we are happy to accommodate our international customers. Please refer to the “How much is shipping & handling” above for international shipping rates.

Can I place an order over the phone instead?

If you prefer to place your order over the phone or email, you can contact us at (440) 775-2233 or email@beadparadise.com. Please do not send your credit card information via email. Please note, our website staff is available Monday through Friday 10AM to 3PM Eastern Standard Time. Because we have a retail store as well, there may be times when we can not process your order over the phone. We will take your contact information and return your call as soon as we can.

Can I purchase what I see online in your store?

If you live near Oberlin, Ohio we encourage you to come visit us! We have an amazing collection of beads as well as women’s apparel, imported and American made gifts, natural health and beauty products, and so much more. Check out Our Store page for more details about Bead Paradise.

Many of the beads you see online are available on the main floor of Bead Paradise. The remainder of our online selection is housed in the basement. However, this area is not properly equipped or organized for customers. If there is a product online that you would like to see in person, we ask that you bring a list with item numbers. We can then select the correct item(s) and show them to you.

I’m having trouble placing my order. Help!

Do you offer back orders?

Due to the limited availability of many old beads, we do not offer back orders. We try our best to replenish items that have sold out, but there are often slight variations. Please contact us at email@beadparadise.com if there is an item you are interested in that has sold out, as we might be able to find it again.

Can I return merchandise?

We hope you are completely happy with every purchase from Bead Paradise. We take care to inspect your beads before we ship, and we encourage you to do the same when you receive your order. In the event of damage during shipment, please notify us at email@beadparadise.com within 48 hours of receipt. Damaged items will not be accepted beyond 48 hours of receipt.

If you are not completely happy with your purchase, please notify us at email@beadparadise.com within 7 days of receipt. We will work with you on a solution, which may include a refund for your merchandise or, in special cases, a merchandise exchange. There is a 10 percent restocking fee for all returns. We do not offer refunds on shipping and handling costs.

Returned items must be received in original condition within 14 days of receipt, or 30 days for international orders. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Please be sure to package all merchandise carefully to avoid damage during shipping.

Please keep in mind that old beads have slight variations due to age. We make every effort to ship beads which are similar to the photographed item you purchased. Part of the beauty of these old beads and components is that no two are exactly alike.

Can I purchase a gift certificate?

We are happy to offer Bead Paradise online gift certificates. You can purchase a gift certificate here.  Gift certificates purchased online are only available for use on our website. If you would like to purchase a gift card for our store in Ohio, please call us at (440)-775-2233.

Do you offer any discounts?

We offer a 15 percent discount on orders over $500.00. Some items are not included in the discount, such as Karat Gold items and finished jewelry. All items not included in the standard discount will be clearly noted in their description. Please note: this 15% discount is not cumulative with other special sales or discounts.

Do you sell wholesale?

Bead Paradise is a retail store. Our 15 percent discount creates a competitive price for many of the beads we sell. If you are interested in a bulk quantity of a certain bead, please email us at email@beadparadise.com with a brief description of what you are looking for and the quantity. We will do our best to fulfill your request, but due to the limited availability of many old beads, we are not always able to find large quantities.
