Ancient, 2000+ years old Roman glass striped bead, excavated in Djenne, Mali, Africa. This bead and others like it have long been traded along the Sahara trade route. large blue bead with "eyes"; some chipping and calcification. Very rare. 12.5mm long x 15mm diameter with 4mm hole.
